No time for a real post... didn't realize I'd missed a couple of days.
Going "back to school" today in Dolo. Cutting some people free today (leaving sickies in bed).
Going to just leave an email that I had put for a friend.
Pictures.... eventually?
Ciao

Cara Daniela,
Whoa! Slow down, cowgirl... I knew that you would still be working hard, and above all, that you'd be thinking about those dreaded lesson plans. Birds of a feather...(flock together). Take it easy, take it easy.
I somehow miscalculated last night end ended up sleeping 4.5 hours (again). 6:00 alarm... then an attempt to snooze... then a call... they couldn't figure out what to do with a girl with a head cold (is it logical or is it me...? LET HER SLEEP!). Oh my, another day begins. It's 6:37 now.

Something I've just written to Mariko (so much going on at once... all the time... not sure what she was doing up late):
It's amazing, if I didn't love it here so much, and since I don't have homework to grade, my head is _sort of_ care free, so I have tremendous energy. I get by even on little sleep these days b/c of the no preoccupation of school and politics and basically, for me it's a good time (even if I've completely worn my chaperones to the point of exhaustion... and 75-90% of the kids).

Haven't had time for a journal or much else. I have downloaded pics from my camera but haven't uploaded to a blog. There are a few on our website. http://americaitaly.ning.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?screenName=32s3jmiwh9bof&uploaded=1
Anyhow, Daniela, I was thinking for you to save your last week at Harborfields for when the Italians come (April 3-12) to New York. See if you can go observe Rosalia (if it's OK, Ro) at OMS and RELAX A LITTLE (please, you need it, Miss Workaholic), maybe help Ro a bit. Ro, let me know if that plan works for you. Sorry, I didn't think of it sooner, but I think it would be nice. But hmm.... then again, it would be nice for Ro to be on the field trips with the Italians too. Hmm....
Gotta think another thing through. Maybe Ro you can take some days, put in a sub and spend time with us? (April 3-12)? It's gonna be a good time. You are going to like these eyetals (I hope). Both of you. And, incidentally, both your names have come up here... you're both famous in Italy (at least amongst my kids). ;)
Gotta go. Too much going on. Another long day. Good thing there's coffee... and LOTS OF IT.
Bacio,
C
p.s. Sorry for the English, but between Maria's phone call, chatting with Mariko, and writing this letter I'm not awake enough to do two languages and get out the door for checking on kids and breakfast in about two minutes.
p.p.s. If there's any human way possible, I'll be in school on Monday. Either way, Daniela, leave plans if you want, or I can teach the whole week, or you can teach, or you can go to OMS, it's up to you. I don't want you to get sick or work yourself to death. That's my job. ;)
p.p.p.s. Daniela, perché non usi quella lezione del rinascimento/medioevo che hai passato tanto tempo in preparare?
p.p.p.p.s. Chilly here, but getting warmer each day. Going to 58 on Friday.
